Tyler McCauley has been a personal trainer for 19 years. Throughout that time, he has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals with different goals and often overcoming different physical limitations.  He has trained Seniors, Physically Handicapped, MD’s, CEO’s, members of the Forbes top 100, and Olympic Athletes.  What he  enjoys most about his job is that everyone is different. “Even if two people share the same goal, how to go about achieving that goal is different based on so many factors. It all starts with a detailed assessment and is followed  by appropriate program progression.”  Completed the Resistance Training Specialist courses I and II / Completed the National Academy of Sport Medicine Certification / Completed the MAT Jumpstart course / Completed the National Strength and Conditioning Certification.

Alex Pullen is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer. He is also bilingual, holding an undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Albertus Magnus College. In addition to being a Tax Assessor for the City of New Haven, Alex is an accomplished marathon runner and member of both the Marathon Maniacs and Shoreline Sharks running clubs. The son of a Yale Police Officer and a registered dietician, Alex was initiated into an active and healthy lifestyle at an early age, playing both high-school football as well as Track and field. His favorite exercises include sprint intervals, squats and leg presses. Alex has run everything from 5k’s up to the 200 Mile Yale to Harvard Ragnar Relay, and looks forward to bringing his knowledge of marathon training and exercise science to the YMCA family.

Andrew Spinnato has over 18 years of Personal Training experience. He is considered by many as the “Trainers Trainer” having instructed many of the areas top fitness professionals. His areas of expertise include Biomechanics, Sports Conditioning, Altering Body Composition and Nutrition. Andrew has trained all different walks of life ranging from professional athletes to the physically handicapped. Through continuing education Andrew has always stayed on the cutting edge of the exercise industry while always taking on the attitude of the more you learn the less you know. Andrew also has a successful career as a martial artist having achieved the level of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (IBJJF).  NASM National Academy of Sports Medicine / RTS 1 & 2 Resistance Training Specialist / ACE American Council of Exercise / MAT Muscle Activation Technique / APEX Nutrition / CPR American Heart Association

Luis Figueroa – Has over 10 years of personal fitness training experience. He primarily works with the general population but has plenty of experience working with athletes. He has trained working professionals, students and professional athletes. Rehabilitation and injury prevention are highly emphasized in his practice. After realizing how important soft tissue work was for active and sedentary people he went back to school for Massage Therapy. “Most folks need to develop their general physical preparedness. This should include both aerobic and anaerobic fitness, mobility, muscular endurance and strength.” Licensed Massage Therapist by the State of Connecticut / Certified in Active Release Technique for the spine / Completed the National Academy of Sport Medicine certification / Completed the Resistance Training / Specialist courses for core, upper and lower extremity / CrossFit level 1 Certified / Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist
